LEE BOULEVARD BAPTIST CHURCH
OUR HISTORY
Lee Boulevard Baptist Church was born in the heart of Reverend Bill Love, Pastor of Riverside Baptist Church, as he prayed concerning a mission in the Lehigh Acres community. Construction began January 21, 1981. On August 21, 1981 Claude F. Wilson, Associate Pastor of Riverside Baptist Church, was called as the first pastor of Lee Boulevard Baptist Church. The first Sunday service was held on November 8, 1981. As the need for more space was apparent, the church voted to build a Family Life Center which was dedicated on February 8, 2004. Pastor Claude Wilson was received into the arms of the Lord March 3, 2015 at the age of 94 having served as the only pastor of Lee Boulevard Baptist Church for 34 years. He was laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery with full honors having served our nation as Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Pastor Mitch Bradshaw began as pastor on January 17th, 2016.
